zzzzz1030717_people_1If you just started your business, you know how hard it can be to find new people that can use your services. Fortunately, there are some tried and true techniques that can bring you the success you desire. Check out the two tips below and see if they may be able to send you off in the right direction for finding clients.

Consider Yourself and Your Client

Don't work for nothing, but at the same time, there's no need to overcharge your client (no matter how good you are).  Your fee structure should be fully customizable and the prices should be based off of the current market. Find a price that makes your client happy and brings a good amount of cash into your business. That way, you both win. Even if you don't have this system in place right at the moment, it's something you can slowly work toward and accomplish in the long run.

Listen - Really, Really Listen

When we're excited about something and we know what someone is going to say, it can be exceedingly tempting to try and cut someone's idea or question off because we already know the answer we're going to give. Instead, turn that part of you off and move on from it. Shut your mind up and listen to what's being said to you. You'd be surprised at how different each and every client is, and sometimes you will need to customize your answers. That means that you don't always need to respond right away, and taking a moment to really think about the question is beneficial. Sometimes if you just listen quietly and rephrase what the client just said to you before moving on, you'll have a happier client by the end of the meeting. "So, to recap..." should be one of the main phrases you lean on for understanding what your client wants and needs.
